OIS, the research department of the municipality of Amsterdam, conducts a study on the needs of LGBT+ victims in Amsterdam after an experience of violent hate crime. The aim of the study is to provide the municipality with better insight into how LGBTI victims can best be helped after such a crime.
The researchers – Laure Michon and Sara de Wilde – wish to conduct approximatively ten interviews with victims about their experiences and needs for the purposes of this study. The interviews are completely anonymous and take about an hour. Respondents should:
- belong to the LGBT+ community;
- have experienced a violent hate crime or threat of violence (also online);
- live in Amsterdam or have experienced a crime in Amsterdam.
Respondents receive € 50 for their cooperation (in the form of VVV-vouchers).
