The exhibition highlights the turbulent struggle for equal LGBTI rights in the Netherlands. You will experience the history of forty years of the LGBTI battle through various themes. Special pieces from the IHLIA LGBT Heritage collection, supplemented with photos and personal stories from pioneers who were there at the time, provide a picture of what the struggle for emancipation has produced for LGBTI people and for society as a whole. Together we take stock: a lot of progress has already been made, but there is still a long way to go.
Immerse yourself in a world of lesbian guerrillas, safe sex activism, discos with acid house and Black Queer!
