Queeristan is coming back to Amsterdam in 2013!
Kicking off on Tursday, May 30 at De Slang (Spuistraat 199), The Queeristan Art Exhibition will open, followed by a queer punk night in Vranrijk, opposite the street. Friday and Saturday will see a full day programme of activities and workshops at the Valreep (Polderweg 620) and Sunday a full programme at Vranrijk again (Spuistraat 26). Even Susan Stryker is coming, so be sure not to miss it!
And of course, there is lots of partying going on!
Friday will see the Smashing Gender Binary Dance at Valrepp, and Sunday the Scratch and Sniff Queer Performance Night at Vranrijk.Check the programme on queeristan.org for updates!
Queeristan is about providing a space: not only an autonomous space, but also a platform to counter normative workings of gender, sexuality, and identity. Queeristan is a factory of resistance, so come and join the struggle, come and explore through workshops, art, partying all night long, etc.
